Is it banking's job to teach you about finances? At Sequin, we believe it is.
Over the past few months, our team has been heads down, talking to women about their experiences with banking. We asked: what do you want to see from a credit card designed for you?
What we heard was a strong desire to understand how banking works. And not in the oversimplified way that women are frequently spoken to about finances. Women want context, nuance, and transparency. And they want it from credible and relatable experts — from women like them.
Today, I’m proud to announce the launch of Sequin’s banking knowledge platform.
Women’s relationship with credit is complex and steeped in societal inequities. From credit underwriting that reflects the gender wage gap, to a society that doesn’t educate women about credit — Sequin’s mission to give women the banking and financial knowhow we deserve is more critical than ever.
